Azalea Encore® Autumn Twist®
Azalea Encore® Autumn Twist® is a fast-growing, compact evergreen azalea shrub with an upright habit and dark green foliage. Azalea Encore® Autumn Twist® produces bi-colored white flowers with purple or pink stripes that bloom first in mid-spring and continue to rebloom into fall. This versatile azalea performs best in partial sun and thrives in acidic, rich, well-drained soils. Azalea Encore® Autumn Twist® is drought tolerant once established and is an excellent choice for gardens in warmer or drier climates. Azaleas are excellent pollinator and butterfly attractors, making Azalea Encore® Autumn Twist® a beautiful addition to foundation plantings, woodland gardens, and mixed shrub beds. The Encore series can handle more sun than most azaleas, and Azalea Encore® Autumn Twist® is especially well-suited for sunnier locations.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: A low maintenance plant. Moderate water needs, properly drained soils is a must to avoid root rot. Mulch helps to keep roots from drying out. Keep away from drip lines of the walnut family. Acidify soils as needed (PH range of 5 to 6.5) Can use sulfur or iron sulfate to lower PH, and lime or limestone to raise PH. Southern climates with excessive humidity are more prone to powdery mildew, twig blights, and rust.
