Fothergilla Mt. Airy
Fothergilla Mt. Airy (Fothergilla major ‘Mount Airy’) is a dwarf deciduous shrub with a strong upright habit and a stunning seasonal display. The leathery dark green foliage of Fothergilla Mt. Airy has blue-gray undersides and transforms into vibrant shades of yellow, orange, and red-purple in fall.
In spring, Fothergilla Mt. Airy produces bottlebrush-like spikes densely packed with fragrant white flowers, creating a profuse bloom that brightens any garden. Thriving in rich, moist, well-drained acidic soil, Fothergilla Mt. Airy is a native pollinator plant, providing nectar for butterflies and bees, making it both beautiful and wildlife-friendly.
