Camellia Shishi Gashira is an evergreen shrub prized for its striking, large, peony-like flowers that bloom in late winter to early spring. This Japanese camellia variety features glossy, dark green foliage that provides year-round structure and texture in the garden. Its showy blooms range from soft pink to deep rose, creating a spectacular display that brightens the landscape during cooler months. Best performance occurs in partial shade with well-drained, acidic soils enriched with organic matter.
