Buxus NewGen Independence® Boxwood (Buxus ‘SB 108’ PP28888) is a compact evergreen shrub cultivar featuring strong branching and a uniform, rounded habit. The bright green new growth of Buxus NewGen Independence® Boxwood matures into a rich, glossy emerald green, providing year-round color and structure in the landscape.
This boxwood produces insignificant flowers and is valued primarily for its dense foliage and tidy form. Buxus NewGen Independence® Boxwood grows best in partial shade and prefers moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Part of the NewGen® series, Buxus NewGen Independence® Boxwood is highly resistant to common boxwood pests and diseases, making it a durable, low-maintenance choice for foundations, borders, and hedges.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Some susceptibility to blight and leaf spots. Root rot can be a problem in poorly drained soils. Shows good resistance to leaf miner, psyllids and mites.
