Azalea G.G Gerbing

Azalea G.G. Gerbing is a larger reblooming evergreen shrub with a more upright habit and can become leggy, typically requiring about 1 foot of clearance. Azalea G.G. Gerbing produces large pure white flowers up to 3 inches wide that begin blooming in mid-spring and continue with light repeat blooms through fall. Azalea G.G. Gerbing is more shade tolerant than most azaleas, making it an excellent choice for partially shaded landscapes. This versatile azalea performs best in partial sun and thrives in acidic, rich, well-drained soils. Azaleas are excellent pollinator and butterfly attractors, making Azalea G.G. Gerbing a beautiful addition to foundation plantings, woodland gardens, and mixed shrub beds.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  A low maintenance plant.  Moderate water needs, properly drained soils is a must to avoid root rot.  Mulch helps to keep roots from drying out. Keep away from drip lines of the walnut family.  Southern climates with excessive humidity are more prone to powdery mildew, twig blights, and rust. Cold winters may freeze the flower buds and reduce bloom come spring, and leaves may experience winter burn.
