Azalea Encore® Autumn Sunburst®
Azalea Encore® Autumn Sunburst® is a compact dwarf shrub with an upright habit and small green foliage. Azalea Encore® Autumn Sunburst® produces unique ruffled semi-double pink flowers with white edging that bloom in mid-spring, followed by smaller repeat blooms in summer and fall. This versatile azalea performs best in partial sun and thrives in acidic, rich, well-drained soils. Azaleas are excellent pollinator and butterfly attractors, making Azalea Encore® Autumn Sunburst® a beautiful choice for foundation plantings, woodland gardens, and mixed shrub beds. The Encore series are all evergreen reblooming azaleas that need 4–6 hours of sun to produce the best blooms.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: A low maintenance plant. Moderate water needs, properly drained soils is a must to avoid root rot. Mulch helps to keep roots from drying out. Keep away from drip lines of the walnut family. Acidify soils as needed (PH range of 5 to 6.5) Can use sulfur or iron sulfate to lower ph, and lime or limestone to raise PH. Southern climates with excessive humidity are more prone to powdery mildew, twig blights, and rust.
