Crape Myrtle Cherry Dazzle
Crape Myrtle Cherry Dazzle (Lagerstroemia ‘Cherry Dazzle’) is a spreading deciduous shrub with an arching crown and exfoliating bark. Crape Myrtle Cherry Dazzle features oval dark green leaves that emerge bronze and turn burgundy in fall. Crape Myrtle Cherry Dazzle produces heavy blooms of cherry-red panicles that smother the branches all summer and continue to flower into fall when deadheaded. This vibrant crape myrtle performs best in full sun and rich, well-drained acidic soil. Crape Myrtle Cherry Dazzle offers good drought tolerance and is mildew resistant, making it an excellent choice for landscape beds, borders, and mass plantings.
