Boxwood
Buxus Winter Gem
Buxus Winter Gem (Buxus microphylla var. japonica ‘Winter Gem’) is a compact, low-growing evergreen boxwood shrub. Its lush, small leaves are a bright, rich green and may develop a gold-bronze hue in cold winters. Buxus Winter Gem is one of the first boxwoods to regain its green color in early spring, making it a reliable year-round landscape performer.
Buxus Winter Gem has a neat, formal form that works well for hedges, borders, and foundation plantings. This boxwood prefers sunny to partial shade locations with well-drained soil. Once established, Buxus Winter Gem is drought tolerant and low maintenance.
