Ficus Brown Turkey
Ficus Brown Turkey (Ficus carica) is a winter-hardy fig tree known for producing two crops per year. This deciduous fruit tree features an interesting winter silhouette and large, lobed, palmate mid-green leaves that provide attractive summer foliage.
The sweet-smelling figs of Ficus Brown Turkey develop in spring and summer and ripen to a brown-purple color with pink flesh. Ficus Brown Turkey (Ficus carica) is highly adaptable and grows well in a variety of soils, but produces the best fruit in full sun and well-drained soil. This reliable fig tree is a great choice for home orchards, edible landscapes, and container growing.
