Buxus Wintergreen Boxwood (Buxus microphylla ‘Wintergreen’) is a carefree evergreen shrub with a loose, open habit that adds soft structure to the landscape. Its lush, small leaves are a medium green and reliably hold their color through winter, making Buxus Wintergreen Boxwood a dependable year-round choice.

In spring, Buxus Wintergreen Boxwood produces insignificant but lightly fragrant flowers. This boxwood grows best in partial shade with moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Once established, Buxus Wintergreen Boxwood is drought tolerant and requires minimal maintenance.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low maintenance plant.  Some susceptibility to blight and leaf spots. Root rot can be a problem in poorly drained soils.  Shows good resistance to leaf miner, psyllids and mites.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Foundation Plantings, Hedges, and Containers.
