Crape Myrtle Lunar Magic® (Lagerstroemia 'Baillagone') is a compact deciduous shrub with multiple upright trunks forming a rounded habit. Crape Myrtle Lunar Magic® features striking near-black leaves on dark red stems, creating dramatic year-round interest. Large panicles of crisp white, crepe-paper-like flowers bloom throughout summer, and deadheading can extend the bloom into fall. Crape Myrtle Lunar Magic® performs best in full sun and rich, well-drained soil. This disease-resistant crape myrtle tolerates drought and poor soils, making Crape Myrtle Lunar Magic®an excellent choice for small landscapes, mixed borders, and foundation plantings.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Water Regularly.  Prune back in spring before bloom to promote flowers.  It can be susceptible to leaf spot and powdery mildew.  Watch for aphids and scale. 
LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Wildlife Gardens, Urban Gardens, Foundation Planting, and Street Tree.
