Calamagrostis Karl Foerster
Calamagrostis Karl Foerster (Feather Reed Grass, Calamagrostis × acutiflora ‘Karl Foerster’) is a visually stunning ornamental grass with soft green foliage and elegant feathery stalks. The stalks emerge reddish-brown in spring and mature to a beautiful golden yellow in fall.
Calamagrostis Karl Foerster blooms earlier than most feather reed grasses and continues flowering into fall, creating long-lasting seasonal interest in the landscape. This grass prefers sunny areas with rich, moist soil and is an excellent choice for borders, mass plantings, and prairie-style gardens.
