Callicarpa americana
Callicarpa Americana (Beautyberry) is a loose, open native deciduous shrub valued for its vibrant fruits. Callicarpa Americana features mild green foliage that has no fall color. In summer, Callicarpa Americana produces clusters of tiny light pink flowers that attract bees and butterflies, followed by bursts of bright magenta fruits that persist into fall. This native beautyberry grows best in full sun, but some shade helps improve drought tolerance. Callicarpa Americana is an excellent choice for wildlife gardens, natural borders, and mixed shrub plantings.
