Azalea Encore® Autumn Embers®
Azalea Encore® Autumn Embers® is a compact dwarf evergreen azalea shrub with a mounding habit and dark green foliage. Azalea Encore® Autumn Embers® produces smokey red-orange semi-double flowers that bloom first in mid-spring and continue to rebloom into fall, providing long-lasting color and texture. This versatile azalea performs best in partial sun and thrives in acidic, rich, well-drained soils. Azaleas are excellent pollinator and butterfly attractors, making Azalea Encore® Autumn Embers® a beautiful choice for foundation plantings, woodland gardens, and mixed shrub beds. The Encore series can handle more sun than most azaleas, and Azalea Encore® Autumn Embers® is especially well-suited for sunnier locations.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: A low maintenance plant. Moderate water needs, properly drained soils is a must to avoid root rot. Mulch helps to keep roots from drying out. Keep away from drip lines of the walnut family. Acidify soils as needed (PH range of 5 to 6.5) Can use sulfur or iron sulfate to lower ph, and lime or limestone to raise PH. Southern climates with excessive humidity are more prone to powdery mildew, twig blights, and rust.
