Aucuba Rozannie
Aucuba Rozannie 'japonica' is a compact, shade-loving evergreen shrub known for its solid dark green, glossy leaves instead of the classic gold speckling. Aucuba Rozannie plants are dioecious, with bright red berries produced abundantly on female plants when a male pollinator is present. In early spring, Aucuba Rozannie produces tiny maroon flowers, followed by decorative red berries that ripen in fall and persist through winter into spring. Aucuba Rozannie prefers rich, moist, well-drained soils and performs best in partial to full shade. Deer resistant and easy to grow, Aucuba Rozannie is an excellent choice for shaded borders, foundation plantings, and woodland gardens.
