Royal Fern

Osmunda regalis

 Royal Fern is a tall rich green deciduous fern with broad fronds that turn yellow or bronze in fall.  The spores on the Royal Fern are in showy tassel-like clusters on the frond tips.  Best in part sun in rich, acidic, and moist well-drained soil. 

*Deciduous ferns may still be dormant until late spring. This will appear that we've delivered a pot full of dirt however a healthy robust fern is awaiting inside.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Keep moisture consistent.

LANDSCAPE USES: Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Rock Gardens, Ponds and Streams, Foundation Plantings, and Hedges.

COMPANION PLANTS: Hosta, Coral Bells, Cinnamon Fern
