Southern Shield Fern is a semi-evergreen to evergreen native fern with an upright vase-like habit.  The glossy but leathery triangular dark green fronds grow as long as 2 feet.  Thrives in rich, moist, acidic soils with some shade.  Tolerates drought once established.
