Buxus NewGen™ Freedom® Boxwood is a compact, fast-growing evergreen boxwood cultivar with a rounded habit and uniform, upright branching. The bright green new growth of Buxus NewGen™ Freedom® Boxwood matures to a glossy emerald green, giving this shrub a vibrant, polished appearance year-round.
This boxwood produces insignificant flowers and performs best in partial shade with moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Buxus NewGen™ Freedom® Boxwood is part of the NewGen™ series, which is highly resistant to common boxwood pests and diseases, making it a durable, low-maintenance choice for foundations, hedges, and formal landscape designs.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Some susceptibility to blight and leaf spots. Root rot can be a problem in poorly drained soils. Shows good resistance to leaf miner, psyllids and mites.
